BAM (Brooklyn Academy of Music) is a multi-arts center located in Brooklyn, New York.  For more than 150 years, BAM has been the home for adventurous artists, audiences, and ideas—engaging both global and local communities. With world-renowned programming in theater, dance, music, opera, film, and much more, BAM showcases the work of emerging artists and innovative modern masters.

Located down the street, the Mark Morris Dance Group has been performing at BAM since 1984 and collaborates yearly on performances and master classes. It has brought a variety of works to the BAM stage, including multiple performances of L'Allegro, il Penseroso ed il Moderato and Dido and Aeneas, and 6 runs of The Hard Nut. Pepperland is BAM's first commission of a Mark Morris evening-length work.
